Can’t come?

Not to worry!  If you’ve placed a minimum $50 with me by email or online in the last 2 months, then you’ll receive these 4 great projects by mail in the next week!

Didn’t place your order yet, that’s okay too.  As long as you place your order before 10 AM on Saturday here, you’ll still receive these projects for FREE!

This is a corner book mark and we will make the above card that you can give with this bookmark as a cute little gift.

I call this an envelope box…

….Bonnie, you asked for this…here you go.  Perfect for those layered cards that you don’t want to squash in a flat envelope.  No, you do not want to send this but you can give in person!

This does not include a card…we’ll do it in a color to coordinate with one of your cards that we make.

Fun with punches!

Do you remember this fun pocket card?  It used to be so difficult, now with the new diagonal scoring tool, it’s a cinch!

Come find out how.

This is made with one piece of 8 1/2X11 card stock!

I made it into a 3 pocket card but there are several variations.

Babies are a Blessing

I sent an email out last week but you may have missed it.  Joel and I are to be grandparents in June!   Tyler and Beth are expecting a baby boy.....but last Thursday she was having some light contractions and they found that the baby has some problems with fluid on it's lungs and will not likely survive early birth.  We were quite concerned and asked everyone to please pray! IMG_8706

They sent her home for the weekend, on bedrest, still having light contractions to return on Monday for removal of some excess amniotic fluid and baby blood work.

Monday:  I just heard the name of the condition the baby has is 'fetal hydrops' a collection of fluid in more than 2 compartments of baby's body. In this case: around heart, lungs, head, skin....Beth had 1 1/2 liters of fluid taken off and baby blood work drawn.....this can often be due to chromosome problems but they had already been checked for that when they found out she was pregnant (was on the chemo).  Everything had come back normal which caused them to look further.  She saw the oncologist from York today (she's had leukemia for 4+years and they left her on her chemo during the pregnancy to keep it under control).   Bloodwork shows baby has been getting chemo and experiencing the side affects of this drug...they've taken her off of the chemo drug at this point.  They will continue to monitor Beth and the baby twice a week.  They seem very hopeful, probably plan to give the baby some Lasix to get him to peeeeee!  Pee baby pee.  Thank you so much for praying!  This little baby has been the most prayed for baby in our family in a long time!  He sure is blessed as are we.

IMG_8839 Friday: Another Ultrasound, fluid level hasn’t varied greatly, they will probably give another dose of Lasix on Tuesday.  Baby was sticking his tongue out during the Ultrasound!  I think he said, “nanny nanny boo boo, I scared you!”

The high-risk doctor seems very hopeful....thinks they still might be looking at doing an intra-utero thoracentesis to remove the fluid from his lungs.

Baby’s due date is June 14th.  Keep praying that they can resolve these issues in utero so baby can be born healthy!

Tea Boxes

I made these tea boxes as gifts for my group meeting—for the gals who volunteered to demonstrate as well as the presenter and the award card maker.  Thank you gals so much for all you did!

View from the top:

I just bought boxes of tea, cut out a little opening on the flap of the box, cut the whole top of the box off—almost an inch—then taped the remainder of the flap shut.  Then I just cut designer paper, about 1 1/2 inches longer than the box, folded it around the box to get an idea where the folds would be, then I cut up from the bottom on the center 2 folds.  There’s no one right way to do it-so just have fun.  The lid goes like this: measure each direction of the opening. Add 1 1/2” to the length and 1 1/2 inches to the width and cut.  Then score at 3/4” from each side on your Stampin’ Score. Cut one fold of each corner and fold up and glue.  Then I put sticky strip around the edge and added pleated ribbon.  Tash made the roses for me—I’ll see if she’ll do a tutorial for you!

Heaven Blessed

Isn’t this set just adorable?

February’s Stamp the Love Card Class

Here are the 3 cards we did for card class!  They turned out so elegant.  I think everyone had fun making them.

February’s Scrapbook Layout

This is the page we did this month for our class—I got the basic idea in a swap from Leadership.  It uses several stamp sets: Take It To Heart, Lovely Letters Alphabet, Best Friends Forever, Language of Love.  Accessories: Heart framelits dies, pleated Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Bird Punch, Antique Brads, the large circle scallop punch and the 1 1/4” circle punch.  Color of Cardstock: Real Red, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  Oh, and there’s a little of the new pink smooch spritz on the heart/flower.

Don’t miss next month’s classes—we are using some beautiful color combinations that you are going to fall in love with!
