Count Down Day 2--Color Theory

The Color Theory Paper Stack is really different and lots of fun...Let me show you a few ideas:
When you glance through the catalog, the colors and designs in this Stack of Paper really jump out at you
The thin olive strip on the leaf card is from the stack and both pieces on the chair card are from the pack

the design behind the friend cut out (Lovely Words Thinlets) is another design from the pack and the daisy is cut from the same pattern as the old olive piece on the leaf card.
You will soon be able to get your hands on this too!

Count Down Day 3 Crafting Forever

We got this set for FREE at OnStage. Crafting Forever!
I made some award cards with them for my meeting this Saturday.
I got these ideas from some other demos and changed some up a bit...just wanted to mention the ribbon on the top of the above card.
It's white with blue edges and I didn't want the white so I took a crumb cake marker and just colored the white so that it wasn't blaring.  Still have the blue edges that I needed to bring out the blue that I used on the thread.  Be sure to read the saying.  If you have a crafty heart, i'm sure you can relate:

Crafting Forever, housework, whenever.

The ribbon on this card is our new in color ribbon...it's thin and easy to work with...so beautiful.
This is my favorite stamp in the set!  This is Lemon-lime twist

Don't forget...you can get ribbon shares...that's all the new ribbons for a very good price...visit my Product Share page for details.

Count Down Day 4--Window Box Card

I'm sorry, I forgot that I had company coming for picnic yesterday so I didn't have time to post. So, I'll try to get 2 days worth in today!
I wanted to show you a cute project I've been working on from this new catalog.
I found this idea on a demonstrators site and it was not English, so I used her great pictures to figure this out.  It's a window box card

So, my measurements were 5 1/2" X 7 " for the Flirty Flamingo piece.  Then you score each side at 1/4" 4 times (so 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch on each side)
then on the short ends, you add 2 extra 1/4 inch scores, just to the 2nd line
Cut out the grey area as shown below
Fold on all score lines and glue down the long sides first.  I used green glue (tombow)
Be sure to hold down long enough so that it glues fast.

i was not able to fit a pencil in mine so i found something that was thin enough to slide in and provide pressure.
After both sides are secure, apply glue to the ends (be sure to add that little dot in the corner...not a mistake :) )
 isn't this awesome?
Now, to complete your card;  your box should end up being 3.5 X 5 inches
So, i cut my whisper white card at 7 3/8 X 5
Scored it at 3.5 and then 3 7/8.
Cut the large oval out of the front,
Then glue the window box into your card on back and left side.

You will need to cut a piece of whisper white to fit inside the box...just measure and cut...depends on how you've glued.

The stamping and die cuts are from our new Colorful Seasons Bundle from our Color Theory suite on page 147 of the new catalog.  I am in Love with this set.
#145348  $54 for both

I hope you are as excited as I am about these new products!    You can get your own on June 1st!

Count Down to new Catalog-Day 5

Today I want to share one of the stamp bundles that first caught my eye!  I am in love with punches and we have needed a great flower punch....happy to say it is here...Well, let me just say it was here. Blame it on the demonstrators, we have bought more punches in one month than normally sells in a punches lifetime!  So, see it here, then wait til the end of June to order your bundle!
Oh, the joys of prediction.

Daisy Delight, Set of 16
Daisy punch,
Bundle: #145361 $31.50

Of course, you will probably noted the center of the daisy..our new Faceted Gems..in clear and gold.  Perfect sizes for large flowers!  Each pack has 72 gems, for $5

Oh, and let me not forget the Daisy Designer Paper
shown on the last 2 cards...it's gorgeous! 12X12  #144137  $11

I have a special trick to tell you about the Daffodil delight ribbon you see on this card.
It's our new Double-stitched ribbon....but I noticed that you could pull on the stitching and I did so and actually gathered my ribbon so now it's "pleated ribbon" for no extra cost!  Love when things work out like that!

*Ask me about my product shares to get all the new ribbons and/or all the new designer paper in sample form so you can try it out!

You'll notice another new product on this card...it's our Happy Birthday thinlet.  In this case I cut a white and a navy...added a little daffodil delight markering on the edges of the white piece and then just offset it a little.
#143700  $20
I have a free catalog for all my customers. You can pick it up at my house or at a class.  If you need a catalog sent to you, I will be happy to do so.  It costs me over $7 to send it.  I will include a coupon for $7 off your first order to reimburse you for your cost.
Just let me know, I'll send you a paypal invoice and then when it's received, I'll pop it in the mail, priority.

Come back Monday for another sneak peek on Day 4 of the count down.

Back on Track--Highlights

Yes, I am still stamping and enjoying it but life has been filled with many blessings and some not so blessed.  I thought I'd give you a quick overview of the first part of 2017-I'll try to make it quick :)
First 3 months of the year are Sale a Bration with Stampin' Up! so i usually work really hard during those months, in addition to homeschooling, FACE co-op Vice president activities, track meets, and housework.
Our families love to spend time together but the older our children become, the harder that is to make happen..here are a few events from this past Christmas.  Top pic is Joel's family, then Dad's 80th birthday dinner with his brother's, and Christmas Dinner at Joel's Mom and Dads.
The bottom photos are from my families' time at the mountains for Christmas.  The left pic is some of the 12 oldest grands of my parents 54 grandchildren...they also have 4 greats now.  On the right is the pyramid that just about maimed my brother LOL. We always seem to do something crazy.

In January, Tyler and Steph did a Gender Reveal Party!  It's a boy!

A 5th Birthday Party for Kale...yes, I made the dinosaur cake!  pretty proud of that...

Baby shower for Steph.  Her Mom and I organized this.  It was a work of heart.  We had so much fun!   Tash did this elephant cake...adorable!

We got together with Joel's family to cut up a steer...it's a family tradition after all, and Dad had to get in there for a little bit and show everyone how it's done.

I held my 28th semi-annual Scrapbooking/Getaway retreat. We meet at Camp Eder in Fairfield in the Spring and the Fall.  The scrap fairies provided bubbles for everyone.  Guess they thought we needed to get rid of some hot air!  It was alot of fun; I love how everyone comes together from all walks of life and makes friends that look forward to seeing each other and catching up.
Our Joyful Heart Stampers group attended OnStage Local, in Richmond, VA
How fun to stamp together, get the new catalog and meet up with friends!  Very grateful for this group of ladies and their friends.
In the midst of all this excitement, we've had some trials...one of the biggest being car failure.  Joel's car has been under the weather and that's what malachi has been driving while Joel drives his dads old pick up.  Then, my car blew it's engine on the way home from church about 2 months ago...we bought a used engine online, had a relative put the engine in, it lasted for 3 days...all the oil leaked out...got that fixed and the engine started rapping.  We found out that the warranty on the engine was not going to hold because it took too long for the mechanic to put the engine in...only had 10 days.  So, we just got the car back last night...it runs, doesn't sound too terrible so we are thinking of running it til it dies...but we spent so much money trying to fix it that there was nothing left to think of getting another vehicle.  Yes, it has 165,000 miles but everything else on the car has been fabulous. Happy to say that Joel and Malachi fiddled with his car til they got it back on the road so hopefully we can return all family vehicles that have been borrowed.   Please pray that we make it a few more months with these vehicles!  We are very curious to see what God is teaching us through this...we have definitely learned to lean on Him in a new way.

For the last 3 months, we prepared for this event, the EBAHS (East Berlin Area HomeSchoolers) graduation/program.
The singing was rapturous and the skit was amazing.  Malachi was Officer C.O.P. with his rival, Mr. Sherlock Hemlock.  Malachi had to charge Judy and the Phalanges with an # ID10TS and haul them off to jail.

And I saved the very best til last...The arrival of little Rhett, just last week.  He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz.
and is a very happy little man.  He's finally sleeping better at night for mommy who is an amazing mom. Kale's a great big brother and always happy to spend time teaching his little brother! Not to forget Dad...Rhett is pretty attached to his Daddy.
So, that catches us up til now!  I'm so excited about the new catalog and very frustrated with the discontinued list...because just when someone wants something, it's gone.  Well, I'm still gonna give a final salute to some of my favs and give you some sneak peeks at what is to come in about 5 days.
