Vintage Flower Scrappin’

IMG_0196

I promised I’d post this page that I did case’ing Shelli’s technique for paper flowers.

Step 1: punch flower using Extra large fancy flower punch and centers using 1” circle punch.

If you’re stamping on it, do that now.

Step 2: Break down fibers by pulling the flower between your fingers and a bone folder, do all edges this way, then flip over and do opposite.

Step 3: Crumple flower into small ball, unball

Step 4: Use your thumb to roll the edges, allowing the fibers to separate and scrunch a little.

Step 5: When the flower is scrunched and shaped as you want it, spritz lightly with water. This will cause the paper fibers that you’ve separated to harden and stay in that position when they dry.

Step 6: sponge edges (optional)

Step 7: Layer and embellish as desired.
