Hello, Lovely--Trick Pull Out card

I've been saving this pattern for a long time because I think it's such a cool idea.  Hope you like it.  I'm including a bunch of pics cause I don't have time to do a video.

  • My colors are Smoky Slate, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Pistachio Pudding.
  • I used the Winter Frost DSP in Pistachio along with the Pistachio ribbon for an accent.
  • The stamp set is Hello, Lovely  #130243
  • Other products: Chalk Talk Framelits, 1 1/4" circle punch, cropadile, organza ribbon (cut in half), rhinestones, sticky strip
Directions:
1. Cut sheet Basic Grey in half to make 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", score on long side at 2 1/2 and 6.  *Do not fold til you've stamped
2. Stamp the squares in a diamond pattern along the inside edge of each score line. Also, stamp the Thank You saying in Smoky Slate on a scrap of white.  Stamp the small square in Crisp Cantaloupe.  Cut it out with a die from Chalk Talk Framelits.
3. After you've stamped, fold and glue your piece with sticky strip so that you've created this------------------------------------------------------------------->
4. Next, punch out 1/3 of a circle on the end...thru all layers to create a pull out tab area.
5. Punch a hole thru all layers just below the area that you just punched out (you can see the hole on the photo below #6
6. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5" x 3 1/4" and stamp it as shown
7. String your ribbon from front to back thru your grey card.  Take the white piece you've just stamped and insert into the grey card, pushing down the ribbon. Pull the ends of the ribbon up and around the white card and tie in a bow at the end. Continue to push white piece into card.  You'll find that it will pull in and out without ever coming completely out of the card.
8. Finish embellishing the front of your card

This is a fun card because it's so hard to figure out how it works unless you've made it yourself.  It's fun to give with a candy bar instead of the card...lots of uses as you'll find as you play.
