Gorgeous Lace Folder--sponging technique

What can be better than paper that has a raised design?  I think I know!  Paper that has a raised design that pops out at you.  I think this sample from the Occasions catalog shows off this gorgeous embossing folder best!  You can see the intricate details brought out by sponging Craft White Ink gently over the design.

Technique:  Let me just say that first you have to ink your uninked Craft White Pad.  This is to ensure that there is no ink leakage during transport to your house.  Just gently squeeze the bottle as you move the nozzle over the uninked pad, working the ink into the pad as you go.  You may need to add a bit more the next time you use because it will have had time to settle and it's tough to know exactly how much to add.  I try to completely cover but not too much that the ink will no longer sink into the pad.
Then, gently tap your sponge dauber onto the pad.....MY tip: I would then lightly tap it on scrap paper to see how much ink is on it....you don't want too much for this technique....Then burnish (use a circular motion) the ink onto your embossed design.

Here are a few of the items they used on this pretty card!

So, you say you don't like butterflies!
Here's a gorgeous card using the same Lace Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder without the white sponging.  It's a more understated look and especially gorgeous with this new Floral Romance Vellum sheet that they have fussy cut the leaves from.  And check out the cute 'wax-like' seal!
